Pardon the absolutely crapulent low light pics. With all of the recent snow piling up, the curb gutter became blocked. As the temperatures went up and rain came down, there was suddenly a lot of water building up in front of the driveway into the middle of the street. So I dug a trench to the sewer before it freezes when the temps drop overnight. Genius, I know. Here's a shot of the driveway of neighbor across the street for reference.

Smart move. You should lay some salt down too. It's gonna suck when that puddle in your neighbors driveway freezes haha

I'm hoping the temps won't drop that low. But you never know in Chicago.I did it just to be safe, and seeing the puddle in front of my house drain and rush through my trench was pretty satisfying.

She's an older lady. I had to back her Lincoln LS out of her driveway today since the plow left a mound in front of it. I shoveled it for her later.

Yeah the weather in NoVa has been unpredictable lately... Today was freezing rain and tomorrow will be rain and 60 degrees.
